Sie geht beim Fotostudio Bettina in Z\u00fcrich in die Lehre und lernt bei Robert Spreng in Basel. Zus\u00e4tzlich nimmt sie Privatunterricht bei Professor Hans Finsler an der Fotografieschule Z\u00fcrich. Ihre Karriere als freischaffende Fotografin startet sie 1947 in New York.
